To calculate the area of a square, you will need to know the length of one of its sides. The formula for finding the area of a square is:
Area = side length x side length
For example, if the side length of a square is 5 units, the area would be:
Area = 5 x 5 = 25 square units
Another example, if the side length of a square is 10 units, the area would be:
Area = 10 x 10 = 100 square units
So, to calculate the area of a square, simply multiply the length of one side by itself.
With our The beetle and the bee math game you will be practicing the topic "Area of squares" from 5th grade / Algebra / Formulae: area. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to calculate the area of squares using the formula area A = length L times L.
Fast moving interactive game to learn math where you control the beetle and the bee moves randomly about the screen. The bee should be avoided and the strawberries collected by answering math questions from the topic you have selected - this is learning math for fun!
