To calculate the area of a square, you will need to know the length of one of its sides. The formula for finding the area of a square is:
Area = side length x side length
For example, if the side length of a square is 5 units, the area would be:
Area = 5 x 5 = 25 square units
Another example, if the side length of a square is 10 units, the area would be:
Area = 10 x 10 = 100 square units
So, to calculate the area of a square, simply multiply the length of one side by itself.
With our Four in a row math game you will be practicing the topic "Area of squares" from 5th grade / Algebra / Formulae: area. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to calculate the area of squares using the formula area A = length L times L.
The game will reinforce the math you have chosen to learn by getting you to match the question to the correct answer.
