7th grade / Number / Percentages / Fractions decimals percent / Percentages to fractions
To convert a percentage to a fraction, follow these steps:
Step 1:
Write the percentage as a fraction with a denominator of 100.
For example, if you have 25%, you can write it as 25/100.
Step 2:
Simplify the fraction by dividing both the numerator and denominator by their greatest common factor (GCF).
In the example above, the GCF of 25 and 100 is 25, so you can simplify the fraction to 1/4 by dividing both the numerator and denominator by 25.
Step 3: Reduce the fraction to its simplest form, if necessary.
In the example above, 1/4 is already in its simplest form, so you don't need to reduce it further.
With our Pong math game you will be practicing the topic "Percentages to fractions" from 7th grade / Number / Percentages / Percentages. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to identify the correct, simplified fraction for each of the given percentages.
