3rd grade / Multiply + Divide / Number machine / Multiply then divide: missing answer
A number machine is a way of doing 2 or more sums on an input number. In this topic you will be multiplying the input number by another number, then taking the answer and dividing it by a third number. This is called a 2 step calculation. Kind of like a machine that takes some raw input, does a few operations and spits out an output.
In the first question you are asked to take 3, multiply it by 6, then divide the answer by 2. In the second question you are asked to take 5, multiply it by 6, then divide the answer by 10.
Start with 3, multiply by 6 then divide by 2
3 x 6 = 18
18 Γ· 2 = 9
So 3 x 6 Γ· 2 = 9
Start with 5, multiply by 6 then divide by 10
5 x 6 = 30
30 Γ· 10 = 3
So 5 x 6 Γ· 10 = 3
With our Pong math game you will be practicing the topic "Multiply then divide: missing answer" from 3rd grade / Multiply + Divide / Number machine. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to do a multiplication and a division to find the answer.
In our version of Pong/Breakout, there are 3 types of bricks for you to break: green bricks are worth just 2 points; yellow bricks are worth a whopping 50 points; breaking white bricks, which are worth 10 points, wins you a math question from the topic you have chosen.
You start with 5 lives. If the ball goes below the paddle, you lose a life and 200 points. The game ends when you answer all 10 questions or lose all your lives.
