Mode
for 5th grade

Identify the mode or most frequent in each data set

Mode (most frequent data point)

The mode is the most frequent data point in a data set.

The easiest way to find the mode is to arrange your data in ascending order then find the most frequent value - that is your mode.

For instance,
Given the data set: 2, 3, 5, 6, 5

Arranged in ascending order: 2, 3, 5, 5, 6

The only value that is present more than once is 5, so 5 is the mode.
