5th grade / Measurements / Volume / Calculate volume of cuboids
This topic is intended to help you learn or revise how to calculate the volume of cuboids. A cuboid is a 3 dimensional regular solid with rectangular faces - think brick or fat book.
The volume of cuboids is calculated by multiplying width by length by height, and the answer is given in units cubed. To clarify, the distinction between a cuboid and a cube is that a cube is a special sub-set of cuboids where all the faces are square.
So, in the first question from the lesson we have a cuboid with a length of 6 cm, a width of 2 cm and a height of 2 cm. The volume of this cuboid is:
6 x 2 x 2 = 24 cm³
There are 6 question answer pairs in the lesson for this topic, and 16 question answer pairs in total for use in the games and tests.
With our Four in a row math game you will be practicing the topic "Calculate volume of cuboids" from 5th grade / Measurements / Volume. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to use the dimensions of the sides to calculate the volume of these cuboids.
The game will reinforce the math you have chosen to learn by getting you to match the question to the correct answer.
