Factors are numbers that can be multiplied together to get another number. For example, 2 and 3 are factors of 6 because 2 x 3 = 6.
To find the factors of a number, think about all the different pairs of numbers that can be multiplied together to get that number. For example, let's find the factors of 12. What pairs of numbers can be multiplied together to make 12?
So, the factors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, and 12. These are all the numbers that can be multiplied together in pairs to get 12.
