4th grade / Multiply + Divide / Factors / Identify all factors
Factors are numbers that can be multiplied together to get another number. For example, 2 and 3 are factors of 6 because 2 x 3 = 6.
To find the factors of a number, think about all the different pairs of numbers that can be multiplied together to get that number. For example, let's find the factors of 15. What pairs of numbers can be multiplied together to make 15?
So, the factors of 15 are 1, 3, 5, and 15. These are all the numbers that can be multiplied with another number to get 15.
Let us work out the factors of 8, of 10 and of 16.
This topic asks you to find all the factors for each given number. The numbers range from 3 up to 93 and include 4, 8, 14, 15 and 17.
