Choose a square and click on it. Click on the correct answer to the question in the box that appears. If you are right the square is replaced by a tick. Continue until you have won 4 in a row...
This topic teaches you to divide numbers by 2. There are different ways you can divide by 2. The easiest way is if you know your times tables - then you can say the 2 times table in your head until you reach the number you want to divide. Another way is to count up in steps of 2 to the number you have been asked to divide.
For example, if you want to divide 8 by 2, you can count up in 2s so.. 2, 4, 6, 8 and see that the answer is 4 because you counted up 4 times. That is because:
2 + 2 + 2 + 2 = 8
and
4 x 2 = 8
so
8 รท 2 = 4
This topic asks you to work out divisions by 2 for numbers from 2 to 24.
