40 - 20 = 20
20 x ½ = 10
20 + 10 = 30
So the number halfway between 20 and 40 is 30.
What is the number halfway between 25 and 29?
29 - 25 = 4
4 x ½ = 2
25 + 2 = 27
So the number halfway between 25 and 29 is 27.
