6th grade / Geometry & measures / Circle / Properties / Parts of the circle 1
The diameter of a circle is its maximum width which is always a line that passes through the center of the circle.
The radius of a circle is the distance from the center of the circle to the edge. The radius is always exactly half the length of the diameter.
The circumference of a circle is the length of it's perimeter. It has been known since the time of the ancient greeks that the circumference of a circle can be calculated if you know it's diameter or radius, and the value of π (pi).
To calculate the circumference from a given diameter, use the formula:
C = πd (where d is the diameter).
To calculate the circumference from a given radius, use the formula:
C = 2πr (where r is the radius).
With our Cat and mouse math game you will be practicing the topic "Parts of the circle 1" from 6th grade / Geometry & measures / Circle / Circle. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to identify parts of a circle: radius, diameter, circumference; calculate radius, diameter.
Cat versus mouse game with added balloons for math and fun. You are the ginger cat, and your life is being made a misery by some white mice which have come into the house and are proving hard to catch. Not to mention there is a mouse house party going on and lots of balloons getting in the way of your hunting.
So you have to catch the white mice, forget about the gray mice, hit the blue balloons but avoid the red balloons, and answer math questions (you are a CLEVER cat...). If it sounds complicated and a bit frantic, that's because it is. Do your best but don't worry if you can't catch all the mice - neither can we. It's a cat's life...
