Game: SOW GROW
Aim: To grow and gather sunflowers
Method:
Look at and listen to each math question. Click/tap on the pot that has the right answer. Expand answers if necessary using the magnifying glass buttons.
Correct answers water the seedling which grows, blooms and the flower is cut for the vase. Continue until you have collected the given number of flowers.
This topic requires you to identify the type of angle illustrated in each question. The three types of angle you will identify are acute, obtuse and right angles.
An acute angle is an angle that measures less than 90°.
For example, ∠30°, ∠40°, ∠57° are all acute angles.
An obtuse angle is an angle that measures more than 90° and less than 180°. Obtuse is another word for stupid, but these angles are not stupid...
Examples of obtuse angles include ∠130°, ∠108° and ∠179°.
A right angle is an angle that measures exactly 90°. It has a special square symbol when shown diagramatically as opposed to the curved arc of other angles.
Note: You may also sometimes come across a 'straight angle' in text books - that is an angle of exactly 180°.
With our Sow grow math game you will be practicing the topic "Angles: acute or obtuse" from 3rd grade / Shapes / Angles. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to identify whether the given angles are acute angles, right angles or obtuse angles.
Sow grow is a gentle game that concentrates on your ability to answer math questions. The game itself is very simple to play and does not require manual dexterity or fast reaction times. You are growing sunflowers in pots on a window sill. When you answer questions correctly you get to pick a sunflower to put in the vase. When the vase is full, you have completed the game.
