8th grade / Geometry & measures / Measures of 3D shapes / Surface area / Calculate surface area of cubes
The surface area of a cube is the sum of the areas of each of it's 6 sides. We know that the surface area of any cuboid is SA = 2LW + 2LH + 2WH but for cubes all the sides have the same area so we can simplify this calculation to:
SA = 6LW
or
SA = 6L²
With our Four in a row math game you will be practicing the topic "Calculate surface area of cubes" from 8th grade / Geometry & measures / Measures of 3D shapes / Measures of 3D shapes. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to use multiplication or the formula SA = 6H² to calculate the surface area of cubes.
The game will reinforce the math you have chosen to learn by getting you to match the question to the correct answer.
