7th grade / Geometry & measures / Measures of 3D shapes / Volume / Calculate volume of cubes
The volume of a regular solid is given by Volume V = LWH (length x width x height). This is simplified when talking about the volume of a cube because the lengths of all it's sides are the same. So we can easily calculate the volume of cubes using the formula:
V = L³
For example, if we have a cube with a side length of 4 cm, the volume of that cube will be:
V = 4³ = 4 x 4 x 4 = 64 cm³
This topic asks you to calculate the volume of different sized cubes. Many of the calculations can be done in your head, but some will require a calculator. All decimal answers are given to 3 decimal places.
With our Four in a row math game you will be practicing the topic "Calculate volume of cubes" from 7th grade / Geometry & measures / Measures of 3D shapes / Measures of 3D shapes. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to use the standard formula L³ (length cubed) to calculate the volume of cubes.
The game will reinforce the math you have chosen to learn by getting you to match the question to the correct answer.
