1st grade / Division / Dividing objects / Divide into 3 groups
This topic teaches you to divide things - dividing is a way to share things equally. For example, if you have 12 blocks and you want to share them equally between 3 friends, you would divide the blocks into 3 groups each with 4 blocks in it.
In this topic you are asked to divide a certain number of fruit into 3 groups (that are the same size). In the first question you are shown a picture of 9 apples and you have to decide how many apples will be in each group if you divide the apples into 3 groups. When you look at the picture you will see that it must be 3 apples in each group. That is because
3 apples + 3 apples + 3 apples = 9 apples
This topic asks you to divide a bunch of fruit into 3 equal parts and say how many fruits are in each part.
With our Four in a row math game you will be practicing the topic "Divide into 3 groups" from 1st grade / Division / Dividing objects. The math in this game consists of 12 questions that ask you to if you divide the fruit into 3 groups, say how many fruit will be in each group.
The game will reinforce the math you have chosen to learn by getting you to match the question to the correct answer.
