For instance, the number halfway between...
50 and 60
... is ...
60 - 50 = 10
½ x 10 = 5
50 + 5 = 55
So the number halfway between 50 and 60 is 55.
What is the number halfway between 55 and 67?
67 - 55 = 12
½ x 12 = 6
55 + 6 = 61
So the number halfway between 55 and 67 is 61.
