4th grade / Percentages / Percent, fractions, decimals / Puzzles and problems
This topic asks you to compare fractions, decimals and percentages and decide which of the 3 is the biggest or smallest in each particular ase.
For example, question 1 asks which is the biggest proportion, 40%, 1/2 or 0.51.
One way to think about this problem is to convert each of these proportions to the same form. Let's convert the other two proportions to decimals. 40% as a decimal is 40 divided by 100 is 0.4, and half as a decimal is 1 divided by 2 which is 0.5. So we can say that the largest proportion is represented by the decimal number 0.51
In another question you are asked which is the odd one out, 0.24, one quarter or 25%. Again, the easiest way to decide is to convert all the propoertions to the same form, and again, decimals are the simplest format to choose. So 25% is 25/100 which is 0.25. A quarter is 1 divided by 4 which is 0.25. So the odd one out is the decimal 0.24.
With our Duck shoot math game you will be practicing the topic "Puzzles and problems" from 4th grade / Percentages / Percent, fractions, decimals. The math in this game consists of 16 questions that ask you to use the arithmetic of decimals to identify the largest or smallest of the given values.
