Game: DUCK SHOOT
Aim: Shoot as many ducks as you can
Method:
Use the catapult to shoot balls at the rows of ducks crossing the screen. Answer questions to win extra points.
Your final score is based on ducks hit or missed and the number of questions answered correctly.
This topic teaches you to divide numbers by 7 in your head. There are different ways you can divide by 7. The easiest way is if you know your times tables - then you can say the 7 times table in your head until you reach the number. Another method is to count up in steps of 7 to the number you have been asked to divide.
For example, if you need to divide 21 by 7, you can count 7, 14, 21 and see that the answer is 3. That is because:
7 + 7 + 7 = 21
and
3 x 7 = 21
so
21 ÷ 7 = 3
because 7 goes into 21 three times.
This topic asks you to work out divisions by 7 for numbers from 7 to 700.
