Calculate the surface area of cuboids
The surface area of a cuboid such as a rectangle is the sum of the areas of each of it's six sides.
Since each pair of opposite sides have the same area, we can sum the areas of the 3 sides LW LH and WH (where L = length, W = width and H = height) and then double that value.
So a general formula for calculating the surface area of cuboids is:
SA = 2LW + 2LH + 2WH
or
SA = 2(LW + LH + WH)
