1st grade addition teaches you about Number bonding for pairs of numbers. There are topics for bonding pairs of numbers to 10, 15, 20 and 25. This idea is extended in "Add using number bonds" where you apply what you learnt to add pairs of numbers that bond to those values. In "Add lengths" you learn how to add together measurements made in centimetres or metres using a ruler or scale. In the "One step problems" topics you are asked to identify the missing number or missing answer in addition sums. In "Matching additions" you get to compare addition sums and decide which ones give the same answer. Word problems ask you to work out the total cost of buying 2 or 3 different items.
